IzzyOps (working name) is an AI front desk built for businesses that live on the phone. A digital agent answers immediately, around the clock, in English or Spanish. It books appointments, answers questions from your own documents and price lists, and follows up by text. When a call needs a person, it hands off to one, with the whole conversation attached, so your caller never repeats themselves.
This page is a preview of what Redial BPO is working on with IzzyLabs ahead of commercial availability, planned for late 2026 to early 2027. You can book a demo today, hear a sample call from greeting to booking to handoff, and join the early-access list.
Most AI phone tools are built on one of two assumptions: that the AI can handle everything, or that the AI is a better voicemail. IzzyOps is built on a third. The digital agent handles what is routine, and it recognizes what is not. When a caller is upset, when the question is clinical or financial, when a payment or a policy is involved, or when the caller simply asks for a person, the agent hands off to one, and the person picks up already knowing who is calling, why, and what has been said.
That design follows the evidence rather than the hype. 84.9% of US and Canadian adults prefer a human agent over an AI agent, and 80.1% still prefer the human even when assured either would resolve their issue (Metrigy, 503 adults, November 2025) 4. Yet the same consumers are warming to AI in the right role: 45.5% now use AI in select circumstances, up from 39.2% a year earlier 4. Customers do not hate being answered by an AI. They hate being trapped with one. Human-led interactions scored 88% satisfaction versus 60% for AI-driven ones in Verizon Business research among 5,000 consumers, and 47% named the inability to reach a human as their top annoyance with automation 5.
Gartner calls the right posture “digital first, but not digital only” 6. IzzyOps is that posture as a product.
What the digital agent is designed to do:
These are capability statements describing how the platform is designed to work. Redial will publish measured results (answer rate, resolution rate, handoff rate, time to human, context carried) once pilot programs have produced them, and not before.
Every AI receptionist on the market will transfer a call it cannot handle. The difference is who is on the other end. With AI-only tools, it is you, or your voicemail. With answering services, it is a receptionist who can take a message. With IzzyOps through Redial, you choose among three options 7:
| Option | Who takes the handoff | Best for |
| AI only | Your own phone, with the conversation summary sent to you | Solo operators who want to take the calls that matter themselves |
| AI plus your team | Your front desk or office staff, with the conversation attached | Businesses with staff on hand during business hours who want AI to absorb the routine volume |
| AI plus Redial agents | A trained, bilingual Redial agent in a US time zone, with the conversation attached, who can also run your full program as you grow | Businesses that want calls answered by a person they did not have to hire, and a path to a dedicated team |
The third option is the one no AI vendor and no answering service can offer, because it requires an operator with its own teams. Redial runs 650+ seats in Mexico, 180+ in South Africa, and 350+ in the Philippines 8, and the same bilingual agents who take the handoff can become your dedicated program when call volume justifies it.
IzzyOps was built by people who have run contact centers 7. That matters because AI projects rarely fail on model quality. Gartner predicts more than 40% of agentic AI projects will be canceled by the end of 2027, and the reasons it gives are escalating costs, unclear business value, and inadequate risk controls 9. Those are operational failures, and operators are the people who have already made and fixed them: what a caller does when put on hold, what a front desk needs to see before picking up, how a Spanish-speaking caller reacts to an English menu, where disclosure belongs in a greeting.
The platform’s principles are the ones a good contact center runs on: practical over impressive; simple does not mean small; humans still matter.
Two design rules are built into how Redial will deploy IzzyOps. First, the digital agent identifies itself as an AI, and discloses recording, at the start of every call. Consumers ask for exactly this: 85% say it should be clearly indicated when they are interacting with AI 3, and nearly 8 in 10 say AI should identify itself at the start of a customer service call 10. Second, a person is always reachable, on request or by rule. California’s AB 1609, signed in September 2026, now requires the largest businesses to make a good-faith effort to connect a requesting customer with an agent within 15 minutes 11; a front desk should measure its time to human in seconds.
Compliance posture (HIPAA business associate agreements, PCI DSS handling of card data in recordings, data residency, retention) is being documented with IzzyLabs ahead of commercial availability and will be published on this page. Until then, no healthcare or payment use case is being promoted. The AI on the Phone compliance guide in the Contact Center Solutions section explains the rules in plain English.
Redial is recruiting a small number of early-access participants across home services, dental and medical practices, and property management. Participants get the platform configured for their business, a Redial team behind the handoff, and a shared scorecard that measures answer rate, AI resolution rate, handoff rate and reason, time to human, context carried, and after-hours bookings captured. In return, we ask for candid feedback and permission to learn from the data.
IzzyOps (working name) is how Redial puts that line into practice at the first ring: a digital agent that answers immediately and resolves what is routine, and bilingual people behind it for everything that is not, with the conversation carried across. It is in preview now, with commercial availability planned for late 2026 to early 2027.
