Three Redial Finalists, One Standard: Our People at the 2026 BPESA Alchemy Awards
Every prospect I talk to asks some version of the same question: Who will actually be working my accounts? It is the right question, and a rate card cannot answer it. Recognition from your peers sometimes can. This year, three Redial colleagues are finalists at the 2026 BPESA GBS Alchemy Awards, and I want you to know who they are and why it matters to the clients we serve.
What the Alchemy Awards Actually Measure
BPESA, Business Process Enabling South Africa, is the industry body for the country’s Global Business Services sector. Its GBS Alchemy Awards are the sector’s flagship recognition, and the 2026 edition carries the theme “Thrive.”
This is not a popularity contest. The 2026 field includes 33 categories and 164 finalist entries, assessed by a judging panel and independently verified by Forvis Mazars. Winners will be announced at the gala dinner on 11 November 2026 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
For US companies weighing a South African delivery partner, an awards process like this is useful evidence. Our page on why South Africa works for US-facing teams covers the operating case. The awards speak to the people case.
Meet the Finalists
| Finalist | Category |
|---|---|
| Oratile Moote | Top GBS Collections Professional Award |
| Sandisha Ragoonanthun | Top GBS Collections Professional Award |
| Mahir Ramphal | Commercial & Client Services Award (Top GBS Support Professional Awards) |
Start with collections, because two of the five finalists in that category are Redial colleagues. Oratile and Sandisha are both nominated for Top GBS Collections Professional.
I have watched enough collections programs to know this is one of the hardest seats on any contact center floor. The customer on the other end is often stressed, sometimes defensive, and always deciding whether to pick up the next call.
Tone, patience and judgment decide that outcome long before any script does. That is the standard behind the collections programs we run for US clients, and it is why seeing Oratile and Sandisha recognized means so much to me.
Mahir Ramphal is a finalist for the Commercial & Client Services Award, which sits close to my own world. Client services is where a contract becomes a working relationship: The follow-through, the straight answer when something goes sideways, the person a client trusts enough to call first. Mahir’s nomination tells me his peers see that quality in him.
Not a One-Off
This is not the first time our team has stood on this stage. At the 2025 awards, our colleague Shoana Padayachee took home the CEO – Top Women Award. Different year, different people, same room.
I read that as a pattern rather than luck. Recognition at this level tends to follow a culture where people are trained properly, trusted with real accounts and backed when the work gets difficult. That is the culture I want every client to meet when they sit down with us.
What This Means for You
I cannot promise you an award. I can promise that the people who earn this kind of recognition are the same ones you will find on your account, and that is a better test of a partner than any rate card. If you are weighing your options, start by meeting the team. Our door is open.
Congratulations to Oratile, Mahir and Sandisha, and best of luck on 11 November. If you would like to meet the people behind a program like yours, reach out to our Client Services team. We would be glad to introduce you.
